The company is a gradual transformation of the craft and commercial activity of Vasilios Krommydas since 1967, father of the current managing director Konstantinos Krommyda. In 1996, the company was first installed in a large privately-owned building in the area of ​​Maistro, Alexandroupolis, and then moved to its current European standard facilities in Amfitriti, Alexandroupolis.

The "K. KROMMYDAS RECYCLING SA" is the only company of its kind in Thrace and one of the largest companies of its kind in Greece, ie the recycling of metallic waste and the absolutely environmentally friendly recycling and dissolution of end-of- life (OTZZ).
